Ray jumped as Sam yelled, nevermind the hashbrowns he was tending to. He just could not handle any loud noises. But getting up, he peered out into the hallway, and then, Laughed.
"Hey wait, I'm comin'!" he said, following his girlfriend.

Ray had run out of the kitchen, but realizing he didn't know where he should go, He heaved a sigh and trudged back to the kitchen. To his dismay, the hashbrowns were starting to burn. Scrambling over he tried to rectify the situation, but it took a good five minutes to get control of the oils and add the necessary spices. When Ray as done, he dumped the hashbrowns in the bowl, tossed the skilled in the sink, and then, sat down and rubbed his eyes.
He was tired.

((OOC: Care if I pop in for a few? If so, I can delete this. Or, just ignore me and I'll disappear. Lol.))
Tabby entered the kitchen and spotted Ray sitting at the table. She froze for a minute; she had hoped they would've gone to bed by now. Holding the brown bag closer as she glanced around the room, she wondered if she should wait here like she'd planned to see if Sam was alright, or if she should just turn around and go to bed.
Boom Boom frowned when she didn't see Paige. Where is she? She wondered, then glanced down the hallway. Duh, she probably went after Sam...which means she'll be coming back any minute and I'm gonna be caught.
Sighing, Tabby turned around, deciding it was probably best to just leave now and avoid being questioned; she could thank Sam in the morning.

Ray looked up when he heard someone come in, but only caught Tabby walking out; "Hey, Tabs!" Ray said, smiling and hoping she'd come back.

((OOC: K, thanks. Lol.))
Tabby froze when she heard Ray call her name. She put on a fake smile and made her way back into the room. "Oh, hey." Tabitha said, avoiding eye contact.
Boom Boom made her way over to the table and sat down, ignoring the fact that she was dripping water everywhere. "So uh, where's Paige?" She asked, sniffling slightly as she looked up at him.

Ray eyed her with concern. He got up and went to a cabinet, knowing that spare blankets were kept there with tablecloths. As he got one, he looked at her; "I think she went to check on Sam... what happened?" he asked her quietly, testing to see if it was a safe topic to discuss. He walked over and put the blanket on her shoulders, then stepped back a ways ,giving her space.

Tabby pulled the blanket around herself. "Thanks." She muttered quietly, looking down at the table.
What happened? That was something Tabby was still trying to figure out. Everything was going fine at first, but then she just kind of...freaked out.
"Nothing." Tabby finally said, still staring at the table. "Just..." She sighed, trailing off; should she tell him?

Ray studied her. Didn't see mlike nothing; "Uh-huh," he said, "Did you decide to go for a swim?" he asked nonchalantly as he walked over and got a few plates; "Want any hashbrowns? Just made 'em."

Tabby give a slight laugh and used the blanket to dry her face. "Yeah, cause I've always wanted to go swimming in my pajamas at 3 a.m." She replied sarcastically as she watched him.
"No thanks, I'm not really hungry." She said, glancing over at the door wondering where Sam and Paige were.
"Pietro." Tabby finally said after a few minutes. "I guess we kinda had a fight." She sighed, frustrated; actually, it hadn't gotten that far because he took off.

Ray nodded. He wasn't that hungry either, now at least. When he heard Pietro's name, he paused, not knowing how to take that. Even though he had encouraged Tabby to try and be happy, knowing the speed demon had brought tabitha to near tears made him rethink his advice.
He wasn't Oprah.
"Really now?" he asked after heaving a sigh; "Did he start it?"

Tabby was quiet for a few minutes, thinking. No, he didn't exactly start it. There hadn't actually been a fight.
"Well, he took off before it really started, I guess." She said, looking down at the brown bag that was resting on her lap.
"Maybe it was my fault." Tabby mumbled, confused. "I don't know."

Ray noted the bag, but didn't question it; "Oh," he said simply, looking down for a moment as he thought; "Well... maybe it was a missunderstanding?" he asked, looking at her; "I mean, sounds like it might have been, anyway..."

"Yeah..." Tabby trailed off, thinking back to what had happened, then narrowed her eyes. "He misunderstood the word stop and then got all pissy about it later." She said darkly, glaring at the table.
Tabitha was mad, hurt, and confused and that wasn't a really good combination. Sighing, she leaned her head on the table and closed her eyes, willing the night to just be over already.

Ray looked at her with concern, mentally thinking of ways to beat up Pietro. walking over, Ray rubbed her back; "Well, if he cares, he'll apologize," he said quietly. "And if he doesn't, I'll make him."
it might have sounded like a joke, but Ray was serious.
