"Ya know back in America it's against the law ta not give meh a lawyer," stated Rogue flatly. She was sitting on the small stone bench of the military jail cell with her arms crossed in front of her chest. Remy was still passed out on the stone floor.
The soldier grunted as he said, "Go fish," to his companion soldier.
Rogue narrowed her eyes. "Somebody woke up ohn the wrong side of the bed this mornin'."
The other soldier simply rolled his eyes. "Any fives?"
Gritting her teeth, Rogue stood up and marched over to the bars of the cell. "Could ya at least tell meh how far away Cuyo is? Or are ya dumb as well as deaf?"
When no one answered Rogue stuck her tongue out at the two soldiers before returning to her seat. She cast another glance down at Remy, a smile playing on her lips. "If mah brother doesn't ever wake up y'all know Ah'm gonna sue, right?"

A moan escaped the Cajun lips of the man on the floor, and he didn't even bother moving. "When Remy get's his hands on deh bus driver dat hit 'im..." He grumbled and rolled over. His head was pounding and from the looks of it... "Toto, we ain't in kansas anymore." He said with a slight smirk at Rogue, and an attempt to laugh caused him to wince and grab the back of his head.
"Ma cherie... dis is a very unfortunate event. Remy apologizes. He did not expect to run into walking a**es with guns on deh way tah deh wondahful wizard ah oz. Aftah he blew up dat green witch... it was supposed to be downhill from there." He rambled on and glowered over at the soldiers playing go fish. "Wheh's Remy's lawyer?"

Rogue blinked in surprise at the words coming out of Remy's mouth. Out of the corner of her eye she could see the two soldiers looking over with avid interest.
"What did y'all hit him with?" she demanded as she got down on her knees beside the Cajun. "Remy, it's meh, Rogue...sugah, we weren't goin' ta see the Wizard of Oz...is there any chance ya cahn return ta earth instead? That's kinda where Ah am."
Reaching over, Rogue gripped Remy by the shoulders to give him a good shake. "Remy, snap out of it!"

Remy grinned over at Rogue and looked at the soldiers. "Yah know, its rude tah stare." He pointed out and looked back to Rogue. "Can Remy ask you something?" The Cajun mused in a rather confused tone.
"Have you seen auntie Em? She was lookin' foh Remy an' den he jus' ran away... it was very rude. Remy needs tah go apologize." He explained and looked hopefully at her for answers.

"Oh boy..." Rogue sighed as Remy's words sunk in. "Darlin', there ain't no Auntie Em in these parts...just meh. Ah'm all ya got, remember? Remember our trip ta New Orleans a while back? The one where we had so much fun with yo--our dad?"
Rogue winced and glanced over at the soldiers to see if they had got her goof. Apparently they hadn't. They were too busy snickering over Remy's current condition.
Sighing, Rogue turned back to Remy. "Now what in the world am Ah supposed ta do with ya?"
Letting go of Remy, Rogue scrambled back onto her feet and over to the bars again, gaining the attention of the soldiers. "Y'all don't happen ta have a number of a good psychiatrist, do ya? 'Cause Ah'm startin' ta think mah brother needs some...mental help, don't ya, Rems?" Rogue looked back at Remy, encouraging him to agree wholeheartedly.

"The one where we got to swim with the alligators?" Remy questioned with a confused look. "That wasn't very much fun." He disagreed and shook his head.
"Yah could tell Remy a story?" He suggested with another hopeful look, but then he frowned when she got up and walked away.
"Whoa... Remy's seein' double..." The Cajun announced to no one imparticular. "'An look, an elephant." He pointed to the guard with a dreamy smile. "Remy always wanted tah see an elephant." The mutant said quietly and his red/black eyes traveled to the other guard.

Rogue closed her eyes wearily. This couldn't be happening. "Sure, alligators, why not?" Turning back to the soldiers she explained, "We grew up in the Bayou. Ah got all the brains in the family, ya know? Rems...well, Rems wasn't too bright growin' up. He used ta eat crayons three times a day for dessert. Our mama got so upset she ran off with the milkman. So ta take care of meh ahn Rems our daddy decided ta start wrestlin' alligators. Kinda like all the wrestlin' ya see ohn T.V....do y'all get T.V. out here?"
The soldiers blinked in surprise, glanced at one another warily, and then glanced back at Rogue. The southerner grinned as she kept talking, a plan forming in her mind. "Well, our daddy taught Rems how ta wrestle alligators, didn't he, Remy? But, Remy was allergic ta 'em so daddy went out ahn brought back some circus animals. Remy's real good at wrestlin' tigers. He could be a pro if they made into a sport."
With a wide grin, Rogue turned back to Remy and waved before turning back to the soldiers again. In a hushed voice she said, "Ah know there's big cats out here in Argentina somewhere. Ah bet ya could make some nice money off of Remy wrestlin' tigers or whatever y'all got out here...so how 'bout it? Ya let meh go ahn ya cahn have mah brother for free."
She knew the men wouldn't believe her, but Rogue was hoping her tall tale would somehow snap Remy back to his senses.

The men glanced at eachother and got the keys out. It was obvious that the two mutants were mentally disturbed, and they weren't getting payed enough to deal with disturbed mutants. The 'elephant' guard unlocked the cage while the other man held out a gun just incase.
"Ma chere, how are we gonna get tah deh wizard now? Deh tinmans in Russia, deh scaredy lions out searchin' for dat grumpy wolf an' deh scarecrows bound to set 'imself on fire given we've left him all alone." He complained and looked over as the men motioned for them to follow them to another part of the base.

"Are ya lettin' us go free?" asked Rogue hopefully as one soldier motioned for her and Remy to leave the cell.
"No...but you've convinced us to find you a better cell," answered the fat soldier pointing his rifle at Rogue.
Grumbling about the indeceny of elephant soldiers, Rogue reached down and pulled Remy onto his feet. She slipped one of his arms over her shoulders and followed along behind the other soldier as the fat one followed behind her and Remy.
The group walked down the hallway solemnly until they reached a metal door with a single slit at the bottom for food to go through. Rogue rolled her eyes, realizing her plan had backfired, instead of setting them free it had merely gotten her a closed in cell. She pushed Remy through the doorway and entered as well, jumping in surprise as the door slammed shut behind her, leaving her and Remy alone in a dimly lit cell.
"The general will be with you shortly!" called out one of the soldiers.
"General? General of what? Hell?" shot back Rogue testily. She crossed her arms with another dark grumble as no answer came back. Instead she turned to face Remy.
"Ah hope you're proud of yourself, Swamp Rat. Look at what you've gone ahn done now!"

"God Remy thought they'd nevah let us out." He said with a sigh and walked over to the door. The Cajun took a quick glance out the small slit before reached down where a doorknob should have been. The lack of a doorknob only made him smirk. "Yah jus' makin' dis worse foh deh repair man." He said with a shake of his head.
"Back up." He snapped and charged the entire door. "Dis is gonna hurt." Remy said with an annoyed look before running toward the back of the cell.

Rogue opened her mouth in complete shock as Remy began to talk...sanely. "Ya mean ta tell meh that ya were just actin'? Ahn ya didn't tell meh? Ya stupid Swamp Rat!"
Her eyes widened as he charged the door. She quickly backed up into the wall, turning her face away from the door as it blew open. Almost instantly alarms went off.
"Ah take it we'll be runnin' outta here now, huh?" demanded Rogue shooting Remy another glare. She was tempted to stomp on his foot for good measure, but figured he probably needed it to run. Instead Rogue went over to the door and stepped over the remains of the metal door, looking down the hall. Even with all the alarms going off it didn't seem like anyone was headed their way.
"Alright, which way now?"

"Hey!" Remy shouted over the blast "Dis Swamp Rat prefers Rems." He said wit ha smirk. "An' Remy was about to tell yah, Sis, but den yah put his arm around yoh shouldah's an' he figahed explanations could wait until the more appropriate moment."
He followed Rogue out of the cell and listened for guards, surprisingly no one had reached them yet. After hearing about insane mutants most of the base had probably gone to the other end of the building. Which all worked out perfectly.
"Dis way?" He suggested and leaned on the wall, yawning and examining his nails. "Remy doesn' see deh point in runnin', Dere bound tah catch up eventually." The Cajun continued in a hopeless tone. After a few moments the wall charged and he ran down the hallway opposite it.

Rogue narrowed her eyes at Remy's retreating figure as he ran down the hallway. "Ya just wait, sugah, ahn Ah'll make sorry ya ever woke up," growled Rogue to herself. Plotting under her breath, Rogue began to run after Remy so that she wouldn't be left behind.
As they were running Rogue glanced to her side and skid to a halt. "Hey, 'Rems'," she called out cheerfully. "Ah think Ah just found an easier way outta this place!"
She motioned for him to follow her as she walked through an open doorway and into a garage. Sitting inside of it were three different vehicles. A tank, a jeep, and a hummer. "Take your pick, Swamp Rat, Ah don't think we're gonna find another opportunity like this again."
Rogue grinned. Things were starting to look up.

Remy grinned, a somewhat evil and twisted grin, but restrained from grabbing the tank. It would draw too much attention to them. "Remy's goin' wit deh hummah. Ma chere, will you be accompanying Remy or were yah gonna grab deh jeep to get away from 'im?" He questioned and raised an eyebrow as he approached the hummer.
Having Rogue tag along would be great, but she now had the option to be rid of him for a while and they were gonna be together until they found the elusive shape-shifter.

"If Ah had any idea where ta look Ah'd take the jeep ahn leave ya, Swamp Rat, but Ah don't have a clue where anythin' is in Argentina." Rogue sighed. "It wouldn't do ta get lost before Ah even find Mystique. Ah'm fairly sure ya would never let meh live it down."
With that Rogue walked over to the hummer and opened the passenger side door. She hopped in and buckled up, all the while waiting for Remy to join her. She glanced around the inside of the vehicle, hoping it was really bullet proof because she had a sinking feeling that the soldiers would eventually realize she and Remy had escaped and bring out the guns when they saw their hummer leaving without them.
"All this ta find Mystique...she better be in Cuyo or Ah'm gonna tear that town apart."
