He took her to the kitchen; "Here it is," he said, holding out a hand t othe doorway.
He watched her for a second again, but only just a second before he walked in and helped hismelf to one of his special energy drinks.

"What's that?" asked Betsy about the energy drink. "Wow... You've like... Got everything here!" "No need to starve!" Psylocke laughed when she looked into the fridge. "What do you actually do in Xavier's?"

Ray eyed her as he took a drink. She spoke like Kitty, nad as much as he liked the afroe mentioned girl, her Valley Talk got to him. Ray wiped his mouth with the back of his hand before replying; "I can't drink most stuff, runs the risk of my body shockign itself. As for stuff to do 'round here..." he shrugged; "Not a whole lot. Eat, sleep, train, and I guess 'bond' with teammates," he paused; "And Bayville's dull. Just a mall, movies, and a couple resturant. The park's cool, though."
"So... what's got you here, anyway? Don't seem like you need help with your powers..." She hadn't pried into his mind yet, after all.

"Telepathy's not my only power," said Betsy and eyed Berzerker, "I have some telekinetic abilities too, and... this..." Betsy held out her hand as if she gripped something in the air, and instantly a purple-pink light covered her hand before taking the form of a japanese katana. It glimmered and shined bright. "This... is my telekinesis, transformed into a form of a japanese katana. I can control it with my mind and it cuts through anything. Well, almost anything" The katana vanished from Betsy's still-in-positioned hand and she looked at Ray. "Good to have in troubled situations" she laughed.

Ray had jumped back a little when the katana appeared, ending up running into the counter behind him. He appeared unphased, though his eyes were a hazy blue since his instincts had kicked in to defend himself. There was an ominous crackling from a hand, and Ray looked down to see a few bolts couarsing over his knuckles, and he willed them away.
Looking up at Betsy, he sighed; "Warn people before you pull stuff like that," he said, then he allowed a little smirk; "I 'bout took the power out."
"Why a sword?" he quipped. It was definitely... different.

"Ehm..." Betsy blushed, "I'm sorry, didn't mean to scare you, I'll yell ´sword out´ next time I'll do that!" she laughed. "So, where do you come from?"

At this, Ray's face grew apathetic as he took another drink; "Here and there," he replied finally; "You?"
No point talking to a stranger.

"England. It's rainy there..." Betsy said with a non-suffering voice. "I developed my powers to their fullest only a few weeks ago. My dad went nuts and sent me to Professor Xavier. He hopes that I will be 'cured'." she crossed her arms. "My dad thinks I'm ill." said Betsy with a hurt voice. "He-He called me freak before I left..." Psylocke looked at the wall, holding back her tears. This moment hurt mostly in her entire life.

Ray's gaze softened. Parents were never really the most positive of people when it came to their children, and sometimes, they abandoned them. Ray couldn't say much, but at least his mother didn't care about what he was. She sometimes forgot.
"Your dad's just in denial, or ignorant," he said, sighing; "No worries, he's probably just in denial because his daughter's now subject to the world's scrutiny. He probably just thought you deserved 'better'. Norms just don't get how lucky we are..." he scuffed his sandal against the floor, looking down.
But even he pondered the "luck" of being different.

"Yes, I mean, you should've seen the look on my dad's face when I accidently moved a table during a ball at our place. He freaked, like literally. Or when I walked the catwalk once I didn't realize me feet were off the ground!" Betsy laughed. "But what I'm mostly upset about is that my brother seems to be a norm, so my parents gush for him, but have forgotten about me..." Betsy looked at Ray. "Yup, that's the way it is... Tell me, is everyone here training to become an X-man? Can you actually have it as a job?"

Ray snorted; "I'm not training for anything," he said; "I just live here," he paused; "But a few people have... dreams of becoming an X-Man," he used the term lightly; "There's basically two groups here. The X-Men, and the New Recruits. If anything, you'll start out in the Recruits, then, who knows," His voice trailed off, and he shrugged.

"Oh, I understand. As far as I understand, you do not intend on being an X-man?" asked Betsy, "Sorry for all the questions, but I'm not used to conversations without telepathy!" Betsy laughed and crossed her arms. "Which group are you in?"

"It's cool, I'm used to it," Ray said; "Um... Neither, actually. I'm just here to figure out my powers, and have a roof over my head," he paused; "As for the X-Men, I'm no hero, and if i do something heroic, I try and blame it one someone else." he paused; "But... that is why you're here, to become and X-Man, right? Best of luck to you, if you are."
He took another sip of his drink, waiting for her answer.
