"Supplies be cards, chere." He said with a wink at her.
At Rogue's protesting Remy had to smirk while he tried not to burst out laughing, and noticed Pyro smirking as well. "Oui, Remy understand. Non happen again." He smiled slyly at her and headed for the escalators. "Follow Remy, mon bien-aimé. Cards be right dis way."

"Oh, um, I'm Amara Aquilla" she said with a half smile half smirk. Maybe he wasn't so quiet after all.
She began to follow Remy, while tapping her fingers on the side of her leg as she looked about. It had been a while since she'd been in the mall. Maybe she'd do a little shopping as well.

"Cards?" asked Rogue flatly. "You're buyin' cards? Lemme guess, you went ahn blew all the others up, didn't ya?"
Rogue sighed and shook her head, but followed behind Remy. She had agreed to tag along...if only to watch out for Amara, but it seemed the younger girl was getting along just fine with the other Acolyte. The one named Pyro.
That could be a problem later if Rogue wasn't care. Normally Amara wasn't much of a problem--but she had been hanging out with Tabitha a lot lately.

"Oui." Remy replied with a smug smile. "An' Remy needs more before he can blow up anyt'ing else." He lied. He didn't need the cards, but he was also itching to play some Black Jack and all the casinos around claimed he cheated. It wasn't that Remy couldn't prove that he was in fact playing fair, but with people watching you so closely it was impossible to steal anything.
After the group passed a jewelery boutique Remy turned around and held up a silver necklace with a small red pendant on the end. "Foh you cherie." He boasted with a small smile. It was doubtful that she would take it, but he would find some way to get it to her.

Rogue eyed the necklace carefully, her suspicions confirmed upon catching the price tag.
"Ah don't take stolen jewelry, Swamp Rat. Buy it ahn Ah might change mah mind." Rogue smiled in triumph. There was no way Gambit could actually afford that necklace. It was pretty, but Rogue was out to make a point.

Remy raised an eyebrow at this. "Rogue be serious?" He inquired and a small smirk crept up his face. Remy strolled past Rogue and back to the jewelery booth. "Remy'll take this." He set the necklace down and pulled a wallet out of his trench coat pocket.
Remy's talent when it came to cards and gambling in general often pulled in quite a bit of money. Take that and combine it with the fact that he rarely bought anything, and the Cajun had quite a bit of money. He waited while the cashier rang up the jewelery and tried to flirt with him, and unlike usual he ignored the woman's attempts completely.

"But..." Rogue was floored as Remy swept past her. The Cajun was actually going to buy the necklace. Now she would have to take it.
On one hand Rogue was relieved. At least this way she wouldn't be consorting with a felon. Unfortunately for Rogue though, it was going to be just like the time Remy gave her that Queen of Hearts.
Rogue frowned and crossed her arms in front of her chest as she watched Remy finish the transaction. She was disturbed by the fact that he seemed intent on ignoring the flirtations of the sales lady.
"People don't just turn over a new leaf over night," she murmured to herself. "That boy is up ta somethin'."

"Merci." Remy bowed his head slightly to the miffed off women behind the counter and returned to the group. He smiled triumphantly and let the necklace slide out of his hand until it was hanging infront of her face from one of his gloved fingers.
"Now let Remy try this again. Foh you cherie."

Grumbling under her breath, Rogue reluctantly reached up to take the necklace from Remy. She studied it carefully, not bothering to glance up at the Cajun.
"Ah hope ya know this doesn't mean Ah trust ya any," stated Rogue. "It's just a necklace."

Remy nodded indifferently. "It's a pretty necklace." The Cajun muttered under his breath and continued on his way as if he hadn't said a thing. Rogue was avoiding eye contact, and this made him smile just a little bit more.

Tabby had been searching for forever it seemed. And just when she was about to give up and call it quits, she spotted them standing outside a jewelry store. Sighing in relief, she started to walk over to them. However, she paused and watched the little exchange between Remy and Rogue with amusement.
Her patience was waning however and she decided that now was as good a time as any, that and they were leaving again. She ran up to them and stopped short, hiding the drink behind her back.
"Hey guys!"

"Tabby!" Rogue breathed in relief. "Where'd ya go? Ah thought you had left."
Rogue narrowed her eyes slightly, trying to see what Tabitha had behind her back. If Tabitha was planning on getting even with Remy, Rogue didn't want to be caught in the crossfire. She was only so willing to save the life of a Swamp Rat.

Remy turned around at the sound of Tabby's voice and smiled a little. "Aw, she missed Remy!" He joked and turned into the game store. Perhaps he would get a free deck of cards if Tabby could occupy Rogue long enough.

"You wish." She said to Remy, watching him go into the store before turning back to Rogue. "Uh, about that...you probably don't want to know." Tabby said, giving her a small, innocent smile.
She waited impatiently for Remy to come back out; her hand was getting cold, after all. A thought then came to her.
"Hey Rogue, did you drive here?" She asked, hopefully. She really doubted that getting Scott's car out would be as easy as it was getting it in.

"Noo...why do ya ask? Ah thought ya had Scott's car?" Rogue's eyes narrowed dangerously. "Tabby, did somethin' happen ta Scott's car that Ah should know 'bout?"
The southerner tapped her foot on the floor as she waited for an answer from the blonde in front of her. Something told her whatever Tabby had done was bigger than dealing with the Cajun thief stealing a new deck of cards.
