The final bell rang, and Ray took his time. He casually made his way across the football feild, in no real hurry. He got underneath the bleachers, and set his backpack down, popping his knuckles, looking around as he rolled his shoulders.
He wasn't preparing for a fight. He had a lot of energy built up. If Sam just happened to get that coming his way, Ray could only apologize and buy him an aloe plant. He hoped it wouldn't come to that. He liked Sam. He just wanted answers.

Sam walked outside of the school, with his head phones on, stuffing a textbook in his bag. He finished and zipped the bag, then started to make his way over to the football field. He wasn't exactly sure if these were the bleachers Ray was talking about, Or if he meant the one's in the gym, But he figured he'd check here first.
He slung his backpack on one shoulder and noticed Ray under the bleachers. He turned his headphones off and hung the head piece around his neck. "Hey." He said flatly.

Ray looked at Sam, for a minute, angry all over again. His eyes flashed a brilliant blue, but other than that, he didn't seem phased.
"Why'd you say that?" he asked testily; "All that about not knowing why Paige was still dating me?"

Sam watched Ray's eyes as they flashed, but tit didn't seem to bug him. Ray got all freaked out about a lot of stuff around Sam, So he was used to the flashing eyes. He shook his head at Ray's question.
"You two are compelete oppisites." He said and narrowed his eyebrows. "You do pot, and skip school," He said with one hand in a fist. "You run away when things get to hard for you and you grew up in a compeletly different place's." He said flatly. "and your two years older then her." He said angrily and his other hand went into a fist.

"Yeah, opposites attract, too," Ray said, glaring; "I told you I stopped that and I can afford to skip every now and then. My GPA's 3.5, has been all year," he paused; " And You're just blaming crap that can't be helped or controlled. I can't help the fact I moved around a lot, or that I'm seventeen. Trust me I'd change all that if I could."
His habit of running away was a bad one, though; "So I got problems following through. We've all got those kind of problems."
His hands stayed at his side, though they balled up

"Can't be helped, huh?" Sam said and stared at Ray angrily. "You had a choice to smoke, You did, and still smoke cigarettes. Not that I'm gunna bug yah for that." He said and began to tap his foot slightly again. Sure, it might have looked strange, but if he didn't he'd go blasting through the bleachers.
"What is the point of skipping anyway?" He asked him, "The adrenaline? Acting like you can take anything?" He asked, naming off all of the reason's he could think. "Well, ah don't want mah sister skipping." He said remembering Ray's blow about Paige. "And ah doubt she'd go anahwheah with yah, If yah trahd to get her to." He said, his foot still tapping.

Ray shrugged; "Honestly, that was just a jab at you," he admitted.
"And I smoke because I always have, okay?" he said; "Sam, don't go about acting like you know who, what, where, when and why to everything. I got my reasons. You'll have to deal with the fact I don't want to tell you them. I've told Paige, though," he added. well, a few of the reasons, anyway he thought to himself.
"Besides, I respect Paige. If she told me she didn't want to do something, I wouldn't force her. If she told me to go to class, I would. And the point of skipping? Because this place is h*ll for me, and it's either I walk away, or get expelled."
It was the truth. Sometimes teachers and students made Ray so angry he could blow up the school, or at least fry it. So it was better for him to walk away. Ray watched Sam for a moment.
"What's got you so against me?" he asked suddenly; "Because I'm not a flippin' boy scout? Because I'm not some 'good ole boy' from the South? What?" Why am I trying to prove myself to him? Ray thought, then he came up with an answer. Because he's Paige's sister and she cares about him, so I should care, too. Though it was true, Ray couldn't say he liked it.

"Good job, Ray." Sam flatly. "Yer gettin' so much better at this. Use your stuff about the girlfriend to piss off her brother." He said, staring at Ray with a stern expression.
"Yah think et s’all fun an’ games fer the rest ah the students?" He asked disbelievingly. "Everyonh has tah go tah classahs Ray, everyonh gets homework, And there arah othah mutants in school besides yah. So, don' pin everahthing on yah powahs." He said angrily and dropped his backpack to the ground, It was getting heavy.
Sam was about to answer Ray, when he spat out with something else. Sam stood there, with a completely shocked expression. He couldn't believe Ray had just said that. That was not only a jab toward him, But his family, and the friend's he left behind in Kentucky; most of all it was a jab at Paige too, Did he not noticed that he was from the south too?
Sam felt the presser in his legs, get tighter and tighter, Begging for him to let it off. "Whut." He said, his voice at a very low tone.
Ray had made a country boy comment before this, But Sam hadn't known him very well and he just figured that Ray was pissed off at him for disposing of his pot, He had never imagined he’d would say anything like it again.

"Sam, you don't know how me being a mutant is everything," Ray said, eyes narrowing; "God forbid it get through your head it's the reason I'm the way I am. I blew up my stepdad for crying out loud!" he admitted this a little loud, and for a moment, just stared, surprised he'd said it. The staticy sound that normally rose behind his ears before a big outburst was starting to pick up again. Ray tried to ignore it.
"I'm sure you'd prefer it if I wasn't around," Ray said quietly; "Or if I was just a little easier to ignore. I'm sorry I don't act 'right', or how I 'should'. I'm sorry we can't get along all that well. But I don't care because it seems to be enough for Paige. She still sticks around through all my crap. She makes me laugh, I can talk to her, and I do my best to be a good boyfriend. I'm not that great at it, but I'm trying.
"She makes me happy, Sam, happy," he repeated the word like it was foreign, and to some level, it was; "I let her down but I make up for it. I make her worry but I make it better somehow. She balances me out. I don't blame you for hating me but why you gotta always make it obvious? As if it wasn't hard enough me sortin' through my own s**t. I'm trying to get better but be damned if stuff doesn't get in my way all the time!"
There was a dangerous crackling throughout his little rant, and his fists lit up as a bolt of lightening suddenly streaked out into the ground, leaving some signed grass and a bare spot. Ray watched it, then looked back at Sam.

“Everahonh who is a mutant, is a mutant all the tahme Ray.” Sam flatly with his arms crossed in front of him. “Sorrah fer yah loss.” He said in a low tone. That was all Sam could say, He didn’t feel bad to Ray, He couldn’t right now. Sam had lost his father to, Not that he had killed him, But there was no way that Sam could fell any sorrow toward Ray at this moment.
“Yeh Ah would.” The angered teen said and kept his eye on Ray. Sam ignored all of Ray’s sorry’s, He had doubted that he was sorry in the first place, But now that he was saying he didn’t care. It was out in the open that he obviously didn’t mean any of it.
“Yeh, Yah can, An’ yer doin’ a great job at it bah the way.” He said sarcastically. “How do yah think she felt aftah yah booked it?” He spat. “Paige’s first boyfrahnd and he ends up leavin’ cause lahfe get’s tah hard fer him.” He spat and fidgeted around, the tapping of the foot wasn’t helping much.
“Yeh, Yer happy.” The blonde said and rolled his eyes. “Do yah think tha’ is the best first relationship fer her?” Sam asked him and kept his voice low, holding himself back from yelling. Ray hadn’t even mentioned in this entire conversation how Paige might feel about all of this, It was all about him being happy, and her helping him, and blah blah blah. Even though Sam had no idea how she did feel, He could put out in the open what he thought. “Paige has nevah been with anahonh else.” He spat.
“Because ah wouldn’ want yah thinkin’ that weh’re frahnd’s now jus’ cause yer goin’ out with mah sistah.” He said and took a quick glance around the foot ball field before looking back at Ray.
Sam watched as Ray’s hands lit up and he went slightly wide eyed as he sent electricity through the ground. Was Ray trying to hit him? He looked down at the damage he had caused then looked back at Ray. “Arh yah gunna shock meh?” He said angrily and glowered at him.

"No," Ray ground out; "That one slipped," He paused.
"I left because... wait, do you even know why I left?" Ray asked, eyeing Sam. "Well, I'll tell you. I chased after Jamie because he was going off to 'prove' himself. He went to Magneto, looking for Lorna. He could have died, Sam. I wouldn't have that. So I followed the kid, and ended up saying more than I should have. Scott, Tabby, Billy, Jamie, they all heard what I said. I ended up fighting Magneto and nearly beating him. After that I freaked, okay? So I went to Chicago to find my mom. She always knew how to make things better, even though she's done a good job of effing things up in the past, but... you know what I found, Sam?
"I didn't find anything. After that, I shut down for a couple days..." Ray paused; "I realized I'd been dwelling on a hope that was never gonna happen. I needed to just get over it. I was ditched, big whup. I'd just started the vicious cycle by leaving. It scared me realizing I was pulling an 'Angela'... But I came back because I had a life to get back to. I had more making up to do. I had to clean up a mess.
"I know I ditched Paige, I still feel like hell because I did," he said; "She's my first girlfriend, too, Sam. I don't know what to do sometimes, I'm learning. I'm trying to find balance, and I'm steadily getting the hang of it... But you constantly comin' in like this ain't helpin'!" he finished.
Another bolt raced over his hand, and Ray fought to obsorb it. Later he'd need to hit up the Danger Room, it was evident now.

“Naw, Ah don’.” Sam said and watched Ray.
The blonde southerner listened to Ray and as he did he became less and less angry. Ray had gone off to help Jamie, and then to find his mother. There was nothing wrong with that, though he could have given Paige a heads up that he was going to be leaving for a while. He was going to ask Ray what he meant by he found nothing and what he was talking about by a hope that was never going to happen, But he figured it wasn’t any of his business to be asking questions like that; After Ray just explained himself.
“Alraight.” He said and shrugged. “Ah’lll trah and lay off, some.” He said and glanced around. He had realized that he messed up on freaking because Ray left, But Ray was still going to have to get used to not running off, alot.
Sam’s leg’s felt extremely tight by now, and he had the slightest feeling that if someone even poked him, He’d go flying. “Wanna get back tah the mansion?” He asked him and set his gaze on Ray again. He figured Ray wouldn’t want to walk back with him after he just blew up at him, But there was no harm in asking him.
((OOC: Sorry I didn't reply, You had a lot to say and i took me awhile to figure out what to post, lol.))

Ray blinked, calming down. His skin was tingling and the buzzing in his ears was getting worse; "Yeah," he said, rubbing his temples; "Straight to the Danger Room..."

"Yep.." Sam said and turned around. He glanced around then began to walk out of the football field and toward the street.
He could have gotten a ride on the bus, to somewhere close to the mansion, But while he was talking to Ray the bus had left. Leaving Sam to walk home, Though he probably wouldn't have taken the bus anyway, He didn't really like croweded places. Plus he could go off any second. He figured Ray had brought his motorcycle to school, So he would probably take it. It would only take Sam a few hours to walk back, And that was what he usually did.
