Ray had gotten up early... again. He just couldn't sleep in at the farm. So, he got up, got dressed in tattered jeans and a tank-top, then decided to go for a walk. He had nothing better to do, it didn't seem like anyone else was awake. So he kept his hands in his pockets and headed off down a little path to what he could say was nowhere because he didn't know where he was going.
But on his way he saw Mr. Fuzzles playing with something, and curious Ray went to investigate. He found that Paige's cat had cornered a little bright red squirrel who squeaked as he tried to get away fro mthe growing kitten. But Mr. Fuzzles held fast to its short little tail.
Taking pity on the squirrel, Ray played hero; "Hey Mr. Fuzzles, ease up!" he said, batting the cat away.
He was surprised when the squirrel didn't bolt. It just looked up at Ray with big eyes, its mouth open slightly to reveal big, ivory front teeth. It seemed to have an extra tuft of red hair on its head, and the look caused Ray t osnicker.
"Confused little guy, aren't ya?" Ray asked as he picked the squirrel up; "Hmm..." he mused as he checked it over.
He saw that the squirrel had three scratches on its hind leg, and fur missing from what tail it had. Ray gave Mr. Fuzzles an accusing look, then looked at the squirrel again.
"Come on, Sam keeps a First-Aid kit in the kitchen, I'll fix ya up," Ray told it, and then he headed back for the house, squirrel in hand and kitten at his feet.

Paige sat at the table with her head rested atop her folded arms. Sleep was nice, but impossible. Her mother was apparently out of town finding work and that meant a bunch of kids and teenagers unsupervised for at least a week.
She heard someone talking and glanced out the window. A lazy smile found its way onto her face at the sight of Ray holding a squirrel and Mr. Fuzzles trailing after him as if it were a treat. This was bound to be interesting.

Ray made his way into the house quietly, scratching his head as he thought about what to do with the squirrel. Mr Fuzzles bounded into the kitchen and up onto the table, where Ray saw Paige and a grin spread across his face.
"Paige! Look what I found!" he said, walking over and showing her the squirrel; "Do you know where a first aid kit is?" he asked, looking around.

((OOC: Oh you had to pick a squirrel *Head in hands* lol))
"Nah." Paige said and took a step away from her boyfriend. It was a known fact to Paige that squirrels were evil. Melody hated them and Paige wasn't so sure Melody would love Ray if he had a squirrel hanging about him.
"Lewis is animal boy though, you might ask him." She suggested and smiled a little. "Melly doesn't like squirrels..." She muttered and bit her lip, still smiling.

((you love the squirrel idea and you know it lol))
"Why not?" Ray quipped as he held the squirrel close to look at it; "It's just a poor little retarded squirrel," he said, laughing; "Mr Fuzzles cut his leg up," he said accusingly, looking at the cat.

(*Thinks back to all the evil squirrel moments*)
"Um, she thinks they're evil. One of them hissed at Lewis once, they enjoy throwing acorns at our heads if we're standing under a tree, they destroyed squirrel motel..." Paige went through her head trying to remember how it had all started. "S'okay though. I think they're kinda cute... just don't tell anyone." She warned him with a small smile.
Paige scrunched her face up at the accusation and picked Mr. Fuzzles up. "He was just playing..." She mumbled and smiled down at the innocent cat. He could do no wrong. "You didn' mean to did yah?" She questioned and a fuzzy little paw batted at her nose. "Aaaaaw..."

"Whut are yah dooooin'!?" Came a distressed voice from the staircase, the last word being dragged out as a yawn caught in the youngest Guthrie boy's throat. "Yah cahn't bring a wihld animal inside." He explained and walked over to the furthest counter cabinet as he noticed the injuries
"You know yah cahn't keep tha' raight?" He questioned over his shoulder as he pulled out a first aid kit with his name on it. Most of the animals injured around the Guthrie farm were very small, and therefore he'd put together a first aid kid of the smallest supplies he could find. "Lemme see." He demanded and held out his hand.

Ray was about to reply to Paige when another Guthrie burst into the room, Lewis, if that was the right name. As he berated Ray, Ray just stood there and took it, looking unphased, and being patient. When Lewis pulled out a first aid kit, he relaxed.
"You don't know what kinda animals I've brought home," Ray told him with a smirk, and he started to hand the squirrel over to him.
The animal's teeth chattered frantically, and it hop-scampered up Ray's arm, claws digging into his long-sleeve shirt, but Ray didn't relay that it hurt as he just plucked the animal from his arm and held it in a gentle hold. For a moment, the squirrel squirmed, then taking Ray's hands as a surrogate nest, it just balled up, wounded leg jutting out from its body.
Ray gave an uneasy laugh; "That didn't work," he said, opening his hands to reveal the red ball of fur; "Here, I'll keep him still... can you clean that?" he asked, thumb angled towads the scratches.
