Code Name: Avalanche
Real Name: Lance Alvers
Age: 17
Powers: Geographical manipulation... also known as making earth quakes
Group: Brotherhood
Individual Rival(s): Scott Summers
Originally from: Illinois
Known Family: None
High School Grade: Senior
Hobbies and pastimes: Vandalizing Bayville High, Flirting with Shadowcat, Driving, Dirt Biking
Favorite music: Audio Slave, Eminem, Nas(sp?), Fort Minor
Favorite foods: Peanutbutter&anything
History: Lance grew up numerous youth homes throughout the state of Illinois. He discovered and embraced his mutant abilities at age thirteen, looking at them instantly as a gift to turn his life around. Maybe the powers could have helped, but not the way Lance chose to use them.
While spray painting lockers one day he was pulled out of his somewhat leisurely life when a girl fell onto him, after falling through a locker door. Lance felt an almost instant attraction toward Kitty and, though at first she did everything in her power to avoid him, eventually Kitty warmed up to him as well.
Lance joined the Brotherhood while Kitty chose the X-Men and through it all they managed to stay in contact. The near couple hit a rough spot when at one confrontation between teams Kitty accused Lance of being 'nothing but a hood.' Lance had gone through his whole life telling himself he was more than that, and as the blow hit hard he claimed she was right and he'd never be good enough for her before trashing the parkinglot of Bayville High.
Lance and Pietro compete for unofficial leadership of the Brotherhood even though both boys instantly back down when Mystique shows up to take charge. The Brotherhood showed up to help with the Apocylpse, in tow after Wanda, and their willingness to help in situations that don't benefit themselves is what really sets the team apart from Magneto's Acolytes.
Sample Post: Lance threw the door open and tossed his dufflebag toward the stairs. The house was somewhat quiet, and nobody had acknowledged him coming home. That was a nice change, but it begged the question 'why?'
After finding every inch of the kitchen empty he settled at the tilted table and pulled an envelope out of his vest pocket. "Cash!" The teen yelled after counting out a couple hundred for the household savings. Savings went in his own pocket, because otherwise it turned up missing. That was bound to bring people running, at least Mystique payed well when she sent you out of town for weeks on end.
