Nate shrugged, "that's too bad, but we all gotta choose our own paths. Yours might be something much different than the one Xavier and his 'X-Men' are taking. I myself just came to see my cousin and find out if I can help out after that whole Apocalypse incident. Maybe even get a lil help with my powers." He said with his same charming smile, his eyes on hers. But it wasn't in a creepy staring sort of way, but it seemed to draw people in.
((OOC: Don't mind at all))

Tabby eyed the guy warily. Who did he think he was, acting like he knew everything? As if. Then again, he said he was related to Jean. Tabby just figured the over-confident attitude must've run in the family.
"Well, good luck with all that." Tabby said, not really knowing what else to say. Xavier would help him the best he could, though, she supposed.

Nate nodded, "ya I mean I don't wanna sound like I know it all, truth is I don't know sh*t, and i get the feeling you really don't wanna be talking to me right now." Nate said with a bit of a smile and a shrug, he wasn't the type to care, he usually wasn't the type to spark up a random conversation with someone in a coffee shop either. Either way it really didn't matter "I can get lost if you want."

Tabby shrugged, taking another sip of her drink. "I don't care what you do." It was blunt and to the point, but it was still the truth. Nate wasn't bothering her, she was just in a bad mood.

Nate nodded some "anything I can do to help? believe it or not I'm not a creep...I do just make really bad first impressions sometimes." He shrugged a little "I'll take off but hey if you need a friend or whatev...or just wanna take me up on my offer of the birds' eye view, lemme know."

Tabby felt bad after she'd practically snapped at the guy. All he was trying to do was get to know her, which was beyond her why anyone would want that, and she had to go and be all b****y just because she was having a bad day.
"No, you don't have to go." Tabby sighed, looking at him. "And if the offers still open, I'd love to take you up on the birds eye view of the town." She grinned, trying to sound friendly.

Nate smiled and nodded "of course, whenever you're ready." He nodded her to follow him outside, where they could take off at first without attracting too much attention.

Tabby gave Nate a small smile as she finished up her mocha. Standing up, she tossed the empty cup into a nearby trashcan and followed him outside. Truth be told she was slightly nervous, but she'd never show it.
"So, where're we taking off at?" Tabby asked, grinning, as she stopped just outside the shop.

Nate took her to a back alley, "now I'm gunna have to hold your hand, makes it easier when there's contact between us. I don't have to focus as hard if there is..." he said as his left eye glowed and they were both surrounded with yellow psionic energy, lifting them off the ground. Soon they were soaring upwards almost up into the clouds, just low enough to get a good enough view of the town. Flying above it all, Nate trying not to go too fast letting her get the full view of it all.

Tabby followed Nate into some alley where he explained to her that he needed to hold her hand. Doing as he said, she took his hand and watched as they were surrounded by some psionic energy or something, then lifted into the air.
"Wow." Tabby breathed, looking down at the city below her; it was beautiful. "This is so cool." She said, doing her best to take in everything.

Nate smiled and nodded "ya I come up here to get away from it all...feel free as a bird." He said as they surveyed the entire town, "it's amazing, I wish you could feel this town like I do. Feel the emotion and the life of it all."

Tabby listened to Nate, but kept her eyes on the city below her. He was right, it did make you feel free...free from the madness and the fighting and everything else that the world's come to these days.
"Life of it, huh?" Tabby asked, not taking her eyes off the world below her. "There couldn't be that much life, not when everyone's living in fear and refusing to see the world for how it really is." She replied bitterly, talking about the way humans feared mutants, or just refused to accept their existance altogether.
"So, how long you been in town?" Tabby suddenly asked, if just to change the subject.
