Ray growled and followed him, sending off two zaps and knocking Sam off course. He ended up colliding with a wall and hitting the floor, though he seemed pretty unphased. Ray loomed over him and bent down, taking the book back.
"Because some people aren't lucky enough to have bright sunny pasts," he said, now sullen as he straightened up.
He opened the book to check that the baggy was there, then he closed it.

Sam got his breath back and looked up at Ray. "Yeah, I know." He said and hopped up. He snatched the book back and stuffed it behind him. "But what you don't get is..." He said and slowly slid the book open behind him. "Kids shouldn't do drugs." He said plainly and shook his head dissaprovingly at him while slipping the pot out of the book and into his hand.
Sam slipped the bag into the back of his pants and brought the book out in front of him. "But you do what you want." He said and handed it to him. "Its not my life right?"

Ray nodded; "Finally, you get it," he said as he turned. Then, he stopped, looking back; "You're not half bad, Sam." he turned away again, and headed into the living room to clean up the mess, and put the book back once he got what he needed.

"Yeah.." Sam said and eyed Ray as he walked off. He turned around and headed toward the kitchen to dispose of the plant he had tucked away in the back of his pants. "I'll see you around." He yelled and walked into the kitchen.

Ray put the books back on the shelves, then once again retrieved his own. He paused, thinking about the intervention Sam had attempted. He just doesn't get it, though, Ray thought, and he opened up the book...
And screamed in blantant anger.
"SAM!!!!" Ray shouted, dropping the book and running out of the living room. "SAM!!!!" he called again, fists lighting up as he ran down the hall, checking room after room. He finally decided the kitchen was his best bet. He made it to the doorway and stood there, glaring and menacing. He just couldn't get a break around this place.
