Sam walked into the kitchen and pulled a plasic bag out from the back of his pants. He opened the bag and started filling it with water. His parents had never told him how to dispose of pot they just told him not to smoke it, So He figured he'd do Ray a favor by getting rid of it.
He finished filling it with water and then looked down at the sink drain. "Perfect!" He said but froze as Ray came barging in.

Ray couldn't feel more dishartened and helpless. He knew that by Sam's expression he'd just gotten rid of his stash; "You idiot!" he said, pulling at his orange bangs; "What the heck did you do?!" he slammed his fist into the counter, sitting down at a stool, fists falling with a thud as he looked at Sam with a flat, heated stare.
"Good job, Country Boy," he sneered; "Good job."

Sam was taken back by Rays commeet but poured the rest of the contents of the bag down the drain and tossed the bag into the trash.
"Listen, Man." He said and walked over to Ray. "I was just helping." He said and leaned against the wall.
"You don't wanna get into that." He said and glanced over at the door. "But I won't tell the Professor.. As long as you stop it." He said and kept watching the door.
Sam didn't know what was so interesting about the door at this particular moment but he didn't really want to look at Ray, He looked pretty angry when he walked through the door.

"Dude, you think he doesn't know?" Ray asked with a laugh; "Whatever. Look, I know you were trying to help, but you should have just backed off when I gave you my reason..." his voice trailed off as he looked away, then he glanced up at Sam; "I don't do it all the time. Once or twice every couple of weeks, whenever stuff gets too stressful. If you'da let me explain that, maybe you wouldn't have dumped 200 bucks down the freakin' drain..."
He willed himself to calm down, knowing Sam was only trying to help and be a good "teammate".

Sam looked over at Ray with a serious expression. "Well, it wasn't worth the two hundred." He said and watched Ray. "Even if you had explained I still would've dumped it." He said and glanced around the kitchen.
"Why don't you talk to Xavier?" He suggested and went back to his door staring.

Ray followed his gaze for a second, then focusing on the counter he sighed; "Nothing to talk about," he said, averting his gaze. He stared at the sink. Geez what's he expect me to do now, get into Logan's stash? he couldn't help but laugh at that, running a hand down his face as he sighed.
"So, where are you from?" Ray asked, trying to change the subject and lighten the mood.

This was going to be an awfully hard thing to carry. Ray did pot.. Okay but it was only a few times a week.. Or so he says... What if it was all the time?? What if Ray was lieing?? Is Ray going to talk to anyone?? Sam began getting nervous and started tapping his feet. Maybe I should tell someone.. He thought but shrugged the thought off as he heard Ray ask him something.
"Kentucky." Sam said and looked over at Ray. I hope he won't hate me for getting rid of it.. He thought and smiled at Ray. "What about you?" He asked and waited for Ray's reply.

"Oh, here and there," Ray said, not wanting to lie but not wanting to give away anything. He was still new to this place, and didn't know who was who and what was what yet. Sam seemed nice enough, even though he was uneasy and his foot was tapping like a frenzied beat of a Techno song.
"Got any sibs?" Ray asked, getting up and heading for the fridge. He began to rummage through the freezer, "I'm still listening," he said.

"Yeah I do." Sam said and chuckled "Joshua, Paige, Joelle, Elisabeth, Jeb, Lewis, Jay, Melody." He said and looked over at Ray. "and none of them do pot." He blurted out without thinking.
"You need to quit changing the subject and talk to one of the professors." He said and started tapping his feet faster.

Ray's eyebrows rose; "Look, Sam, if you think I'm a 'heavy-user' cuz I do pot once or twice every couple of weeks, then you need a reality check," he paused; "Besides, I don't talk. Everytime I do it gets me in more trouble. And who says I was changign the subject? I don't want to talk to a total stranger."

Amara walked into the kitchen looking for gummy worms and gasped when she overheard the subject. "WHAT!?"
She looked over at Ray and raised her eyebrows. "Y-you're gonna get in trouble!"

Ray looked over and groaned, hiding his face. Oh great, he thought, then he said; "What d'ya mean 'what'? How long have you been eavesdropping?" he asked, closing the fridge door a little too hard.

Sam froze and looked over at the door. Oh god.. Not Amara. "Hey, Amara." He said quietly and waved.
Amara couldn't keep a secret if her life depended on it. "Whatcha doin'?" He asked and took a few steps toward her.

Ray frowned, but backed off. He wanted to see if Sam could take care of it, because he wasn't up to dealing with the Princess.
