"Oh, well I spose he's good as anyone." Pietro replied sarcastically and swallowed, only to find his throat had already gone dry.
"Aaand, are we supposed to break up now?" He questioned as the idea that her problem might be the difficulty of breaking up. Maybe that was why she was up and down here talking to him. She had feelings for Ray and she wasn't sure how to break it to him. That made more sense than anything else, at least to him it did. Him caring about Tabitha and her caring enough about him to talk things over? That didn't make sense.
"I'm not gonna kick you out if that's what this is gonna end up being." He assured her and tried to convince himself she was simply trying to cover her living situation before ditching the old boyfriend.

Tabby's head snapped around to face Pietro. Did he want to break up with her? No, that was the last thing she wanted. Tabitha felt her heart pounding in her chest as she tried to think of something to say.
"Pietro...that's not even it." Tabby said; then, as if everything wasn't bad enough, she felt a headache coming on. "Unless...do...are you breaking up with me?" She asked quietly, surprised she'd even managed to get that out.

"No. I just don't see why you're down here. Everythings fine, I'm fine, you need sleep and you'll be fine." He replied and finally brought himself to turn off the television. So occasionally Lance's stupid 'your wasting money' things were true, but he was simply turning off the television because he didn't want to watch it. It had nothing to do with saving money, even if it was a good distraction.
"Are you hungry?" He tested, searching off for other reasons she could be up, if she wasn't breaking up with him. The speed demon got up and walked into the kitchen to see if Lance had added any groceries to his stolen food.

Tabby shook her head, but he either didn't see her, or he didn't care, because he was off to the kitchen anyway. Sighing, she laid down on the couch and stared at the black television screen for a minute before closing her eyes.
After taking a deep, calming breath, she opened her eyes again and stood up. With a slight limp, Tabby made her way to the kitchen. "You aren't fine." She pointed out, leaning against the door frame as she watched him.

"Yes I am." Pietro retorted with an angry look at the very idea that he might, possibly not be fine. "Why wouldn't I be?" He questioned with raised eyebrows, turning around to stare at her.
"Wanda tries to kill me on a daily basis, I've got absolutely no cash to buy food with, my powers are at yet another standstill, my own father hasn't contacted me since I insulted his precious Lorna and suddenly I'm not okay because my girlfriend kissed some guy?" He continued, biting back any further comments that might indicate otherwise.
He stared at her incredulously and shook his head. "You don't get me Tabby. I am fine." He was speaking in an exasperated tone, and lying on both statements

Pietro was lying through his teeth; he really was nowhere close to being fine. She was about to retort, but he went off into a rant; which merely proved that he wasn't fine. Not able to do anything else, she just stood there and listened, a compassionate look on her face.
Her head was spinning with information as she tried to take everything in. She knew all of that already, and she figured that everything he kept quiet about had been building up for some time now. So if her cheating on him wasn't the final straw, she wondered what it would be that would finally make him snap.
"I don't get you?" Tabby asked quietly once he was finished. "I've had my fair share of problems too, Pietro." She said, not moving from her spot. "And you're not fine." She said again, pushing off the wall and walking over to him.
As she reached him, she stared at him for a second before tentatively wrapping her arms around him in a hug. "Not just cause of me, either. I know you've put up with a lot. I'm sorry I added to your list." She muttered; it was all she could think to do at the moment.

Pietro felt his heart race as she approached him, half of him praying he was going to get slapped... but he hadn't done anything worth getting slapped over. So he began to think of something that might get him slapped, what to say- too late, she was there.
He furrowed his brow and set his mouth in a line when she hugged him. His eyes darted around the kitchen while she spoke and he ended up focusing on a water stain in the corner.
"Fine, I'm not okay..." He finally agreed and though a stubborn voice in his head was yelling 'DON'T DO IT' he hugged her back. "I'm not okay with you kissing other guys, but mostly I'm not okay with the fact that you do get me. So if we're gonna keep up this relationship that's not allowed." He added on the last part to lighten the mood and all will power fled him as he sighed and let his head droop onto her shoulder.

Tabby was relieved when he hugged her back, and she felt a small smile tugging at her lips. She had managed to get him to semi-agree with her. It wasn't much, but it was a start.
Closing her eyes, Tabby listened as he spoke. Of course he wasn't ok with her kissing someone else, that was fairly obvious. But him not being ok with her understanding him? That one she didn't get so much.
"What's not allowed?" Tabby asked, sleepily. "Me kissin' other guys, or gettin' you?" Her words were starting to slur a little; had she been this tired a minute ago? She didn't know, but she was too comfortable to move at the moment.

Pietro's eyelids drooped and flickered open again, a few times. The speed demon scrunched up his face in thought and shook his head briefly. "Both." He decided with his brow still furrowed.
"We can' sleep here." He reminded her, and after pulling her up off the ground in a tighter hug he zipped them back to her room. "Stay." He commanded with a foolish smile as he leaned over to lay her on the bed, as her arms were around his neck. "Tabby gets a time out if she can't stay in her bed at bed time." He decided, and thought way back to the annoyance of being confined to a bed after a certain time of day... it was still a dumb idea in his opinion.

Tabby felt herself lifted slightly off the ground one second, then being laid down on her bed the next. "Time out?" She questioned, eyes still shut. "You're crazy, Pie." She decided, before realizing that her arms were still around his neck.
Smirking, she opened her eyes and stared up at him sleepily. Then, with all the strength she could muster, she pulled him down onto the bed, rolling over last second so that they didn't bud heads or anything.

"That may be true, but-" Pietro said in a matter-o-fact tone, caught off by a sudden tug that pulled him onto the bed. He smiled lazily up at her and looked around. "This isn't how one is supposed to end anargument." He informed her, although they hadn't officially had an argument.
Pietro scrunched up his face and then let it relax as he yawned, closing his mouth before he was finished with the yawn and exhaling through his nose like he always did, and as always all the built up pressure caused him to shake his head furiously. "Mm'tired." He mumbled and wrapped his arms around her again to pull her over to him. This was a lot more comfortable than the couch.
He thought about Tabby for a minute, and decided that her ability to hurt him came with the comfortable feeling that he could be open around her; and maybe that wasn't such an awful thing. It wasn't like he'd been given the choice however. One minute they were in a heated argument about how much of a jerk he was, and the next thing he knew it was taking all he had not to break down infront of her on the livingroom sofa.

Tabby shrugged, rearranging herself on her bed so that she was facing him. She couldn't help but let out a small giggle when he yawned; but of course, his yawn caused her to yawn. "Mmhmm." She mumbled in agreement, resting her head on his shoulder after he pulled her over to him.
Tabby closed her eyes as she got comfortable. After everything that had gone on that evening, sleep was much needed. Anything else could just wait until morning.

Pietro slid his hand up to her hair and began playing with a piece while he fell asleep, as if to prove to himself she was still there. Tabby was here and they were more than okay. Everything was okay. Pietro yawned and closed his eyes, drifting off into a nice peaceful sleep.

Tabby felt a small smile tugging at her lips as she felt Pietro playing with her hair. They were okay, he didn't hate her for what she did...but that still didn't stop her from hating herself. It was a rough few hours as Tabby tried to force herself to sleep. But every time she'd nod off, she'd just wake back up again.
Finally, at around four o'clock, she'd had enough. Tabby couldn't deal with this right now, no matter how much she thought she could. She wanted to believe Pietro when he said they were fine, but something inside of her kept telling her things weren't fine.
Sighing, Tabby slipped out of Pietro's grasp, careful not to wake him. She packed up a duffle bag quietly, then found a piece of paper and a pen, figuring she owed him a note at the very least.
Speedy,
I'm sorry again about last night, and for you waking up by yourself...but I need to get away for awhile. And well, I've heard Hawaii's nice this time of year, so I thought I might hit up the beaches. You know, work on my tan or something. Try not to miss me too much.
Love,
Tabby
Tabby read over the note, figuring it was good enough. Hawaii was just an off the top of her head idea. Who really knew where she'd end up? Sighing, Tabby laid the note on the bed where she'd previously been sleeping, figuring that way he wouldn't tear up the house as soon he realized she was gone.
After placing a soft kiss on his lips, Tabby walked out of the room, not even sparing a glance back at him. She couldn't, otherwise she'd probably change her mind.
