"Er...Oi think this is probably toime for our quick getaway, 'Mara," John looked over his shoulder at the girl, who was trying to hide behind him.
He gathered his power and concentrated: all the fire in the street left whatever it was burning --cars, shops, trees, people-- and manifested itself in a twenty-foot-high ring around himself and Amara.
"Roighto," He grinned, "How'sabout we foind somewhere else ta be?" He began walking, and the firewall moved with him. It was the perfect shield, except....
"Yowch!" Pyro bumped into a parked car. "Eheh. Oi forgot about the needin' ta see part..." A porthole appeared at face-height in the front of the ring. "There."
He turned to Amara, and extended his hand. "Ya comin'?"

"Uh- good idea..." She said following him. "Well... that was fun. But next time I hope we evolve so we have invisibility!" she said with a small laugh.
When they were surrouned by the fire she turned back into her regular form and continued to follow him until he hit a car- then she stopped. She giggled and bit her bottom lip managing a "Are you alright? Do cars have something against you?" She took his hand and continued to follow him.

"If we were invisible, 'ow would Oi be able ta 'ang out with ya? I wouldn' be able ta see ya, and that'd be a roight shame," He winked at Amara and grasped her hand in his, walking casually down the street as if through a park instead of the burned-out wreckage of what had used to be the downtown.
"Cars...cars don' loike me. Anythin' with a full gas tank doesn' really take too koindly ta me." Pyro explained with a grin. "Oi can't imagine whoi."
This was the most fun he'd had in ages. Pyro made a mental note to do this more often, especially the part that included doing things with Amara.

Amara breathed a small laugh and began to tap the side of her leg with her free hand. "Maybe they do like you, but just get all nervouse around you and end up spazzing out", she said nodding her head slightly with a smirk. "That or got bitten by a rabbid squirrel. Which is perfectly understandable. I had a friend once, who's dog got into a fight with a squirrel once. The squirrel ended up biting it and the dog was never the same again. Squirrel's also think it's funny to steal one's gummy worms..."
She trailed off as she remebered the day she'd been in the park. Amara'd been innocently sitting there when all fo a sudden- a squirrel popped out of the tree! It'd snatched them up and ran back into a hole under the tree. After that, squirrels and her never got along again. Not like they ever did.
"Anyways, squirrels are evil. The world's going down in flames as the squirrels set towns on fire and enslave the human and mutant races."

Pyro grinned as Amara chattered about squirrels, and at the last line he turned and smirked at her.
"Oi thought we were the ones who set th' town on foiah, luv," They were nearly back at the park by now. "Although, Oi'm not so big on th' enslavement bit. Too much papahwork, an' papah's anothah thing that doesn' loike me so much. Oi'll leave all that up ta Magneto. 'E's good with the papahclips."

Amara giggled. "We are. But squirrels are too smart for their own good. They'll steal people's lighters and matches and then start huge fires. Smokey the bear is going to need a bigger hose", she said with a slight nod.
"Paperclips?" she asked tilting her head, "I made a tower out of those once. I was very bored..." she mentally laughed at herself and simply grinned on the outside. "Thank you for keeping me company and not thinking I was totally crazy. though sometimes I take it as a compliment." She shrugged and grinned at him and then peered over she shoulder to see if the other two were following them and then turned back to him, still grinning.

"Sheila, if anyone knows crazy, it'd be me," Pyro laughed, "An' Oi can safely say that you ain't crazy. Oi'm 'avin' a roight fun toime with ya, in any case; Oi don't really care if you're crazy or not."
He noticed she was looking over her shoulder; he glanced back as well, and then smirked as he realized they were still completely surrounded by flame.
"Well, Oi figure if your friends there followed us, there's only one way ta foind out..."
The fire roared and then folded in on itself, until it was contained in a rope, still circled around Amara and John. He couldn't bear to put it out, but...they did need to see if they were being followed or not.
He waited for Amara's lead; Pyro was not averse to attacking the followers, but he was pretty sure that if Amara did, she would brand herself as an Enemy. And so, he waited.

When she looked over she couldn't see anything. She figured either they lost them or the died. That or they decided to turn around.
She blushed when she heard him speak and then turn her gaze back to him. She was too busy looking at him to even notice that they were still holding hands but she would have just pretended not to notice anyways, even if she did. "You arn't that crazy...", she said smirking and then added, "I think we lost 'em. That or got into a fight with eachother and then ended up into a death match, which I doubt..."
A thought struck her as she tilted her head slightly to the other side. "Do you ever take that off?" she teased ,"One wonders what color you eyes are..."

It didn't look as if they had been followed...and they had ended up in one of the less-traveled walkways of the park. John silently congratulated his sense of direction, and extinguished most of the flame rope until only a small sphere of fire remained. This he grabbed in the hand that wasn't holding on to Amara. Her question caught him off-guard, however.
"Wha--this?" He gestured to his visor. "Oi...of course Oi take it off! Oi guess...it just sorta makes me forget Oi'm wearin' it?"
He let go of the fiery sphere and took off his visor, blinking. "It basically is there so Oi don't get bloinded by moi own whoite-hot flame," he explained, "Othahwoise the foiah leaves little streaks across moi vision, loike when ya look at the sun."

Amara just grinned as he took off his visor and blinked for a few seconds. Then, out of nowhere started to laugh. She didn't know why she did it... it just sorta happened. After a few seconds though lowered her laugh into a small giggle as a light blush played its way across her face.
Magnaging to stop, she grinned. "Well, you, sir, have nice eyes", she said while the knuckle of her free hand's index finger, swifty across his nose.

Pyro stared bemusedly as she began to laugh.
"Wot? 'Ave they suddenly turned purple?" He demanded, trying and failing to see himself in his visor, which wasn't very reflective on the whole.
He stopped, though, when she complimented him: it made him feel strangely warm inside. He hardly ever got complimented any more; it was only "Pyro, do this," "Pyro, stop goofing off," or, more frequently, "PYRO! PUT OUT THE FIIIIIIRE!!"
But now...hum. He smiled, not too sure how to respond...he wanted to say something to her, like how amazing she was, or how beautiful she looked, especially by firelight, but... Polite conversation didn't come very easily to him.
Aw hell.
He bent down and kissed her.

Amara grinned and shook her head. "No, you're perfe-" but her words were cut off by his lips. At first, she didn't know what to do. She just kind of stood there wide eyed as he kissed her.
When they broke apart she blinked. "I should say nice things about your eyes more often!" she said raising her eye brows and giving a small laugh. Still holding his hand she slid her arms around his neck and kissed him back.
She wondered what would happen if the others found out about this, but then again she didn't really care. She was having a moment and she wasn't about to have it be ruined by nwanted thoughts.

Hmm. This had been one of his better impulsive actions, definitely, Pyro mused. When they broke apart, he gazed at her, hoping against hope that he'd been reading her right and that she wasn't going to slap him or yell at him or something.
John's spirits rose, and began to soar as she kissed him. Man, was he glad that he'd gone to the park today!
...the small fireball, unnoticed by John, began responding to the surge in his emotions: roaring up, it split itself into thousands of tiny, fiery butterflies that began circling the two.

She grinned into the kiss and then broke it once she remebered she had to breathe. She still managed to laugh lightly though. She noticed the tiny little butterflies and smirked. "Butterflies? Do I give you butterlfies?", she asked in a slightly teasing voice.
She gave him another grin and then kissed him again.

"Buttahflies?" John looked up quizzically; there were fiery butterflies lazily flapping all around the two. Huh, look at that.
He stopped looking when she kissed him again. In fact, parts of his brain pretty much stopped altogether. He really, really wished that this moment would last as long as it possibly could; if anyone broke them up right now, so help him, Pyro was going to do something drastic.
He wrapped his arms around Amara's waist, bringing her closer to him. The last shreds of his rational mind were squished, along with their warnings of getting too close to someone on the "other" team.
