'Betsy' he mentally screamed 'Betsy are you still there?', worried at not hearing even a flicker of a response from the girl. He physically gave her a shake, hoping to give her something physical to anchor her.

"Should I shock her?" Ray asked quietly, reverently, holding up a hand, and flezing his fingers, sparks danced on his fingertips for a moment. He looked at Scott, about to make the call himself.
"She said to, so I wouldn't have to explain myself," he added.

Betsy wasn't conscious, but in her mind she predicted what would happen. "Please..." she whispered, "SHOOT ME!!!" she yelled ear-deafing into the teens minds. She would rather die than letting her own mind control her. All telepaths had the problem with a double nature an she seemed to have one of the worst. "SHOOT ME!!!" she screamed again inside her mind. "Please..."

"FINE!" Ray ground out aloud, a headache forming behind his eyes during her outburst. He held his hand to her arm before he sent a wave of electricity into her. She would have a burn later, he'd tend to it himself, but since she gave clearence, he complied.

Betsy gasped for air and jumped up, staring wide-eyed at Ray and Scott. She was still not seeing or hearing clearly, but the voices in her head started to fade away. She lost her balance and fell back into Scott's arm to have something to stabily lean against. She looked at Ray and Scott and smiled weekly. "Thank you" she said with a thin voice.

When she jumped up Ray stumbled back, sending the rest of the electricity he'd held back into a metal trashbin he kept by his desk. The trashbin shook and seemed to glow, and when he let go, his fingertips had left lasting marks in the rim. He just leaned against the wall, her thnka-you not really registering in his mind as he tried to stabilize.

Betsy smiled weekly and got up slowly. She looked around. "Oh sorry... What a mess I created... Ehm, since you're leaving, how 'bout I clean this havok I caused while you're away? Like a... Apology... Thanks, Scott..." she looked at her friends.

Betsy made herself on the way to crash. "Thank you" she said once again before getting out the door.

Ray just waved her off, rubbing his eyes, shaking as he sighed. Betsy was fine, but he wasn't. There was an ominous crackling sound, and a bolt coarsed over his arm. He hadn't exactly expelled any energy sense his blow-out with Magneto, and even since then, his powers had been acting up. He was just "evolving", growing stronger, but it didn't ease him. Ray was getting scared of himself.
So he just sat up against the wall, waiting for the energy to bottle up again, hands over his eyes, which he knew were no doubt a vibrant blue. They'd been steadily changing from hazel to blue, something that scared him.

((had stuff to do, looks like I missed a bit))
"Your welcome, Betsy."
"Nice job, Ray,"Scott told him, giving him a pat on the shoulder. He let out a nervous laugh, "Let's hope we dont' have a repeat performance, because no matter how exciting that was I don't think I could handle it."
He got up from his crouched position. "Now, if you don't mind I think I'll go back to that book I was going to read."

((Ahh Ray's kinda charged up i don't think that woulda bin a good idea))
Ray shied away from Scott's touch, afraid of shocking him; "Yeah, thanks," he said gruffly, looking up; "What color are my eyes?" he asked as he rose, rubbing them before staring at Scott.
If they were still blue, he'd need to go "vent".

((Oops, totally forgot about that when I typed that up))
Scott raised an eyebrow. "You're asking the colorblind? Red" He took a moment though to actually think about it, "eh...maybe a brighter red than normal? I'm sorry I'm really bad when it comes to colors," he apologized, tapping his shades, "everything's kind of a wash."

Ray felt a little bad at that; once he got used to something, he tended to forget about the abnomality; "Err... sorry," he said; "Brighter, huh? That ain't good..." he mumbled to himself; "I'll catch ya later, Scott..." he said, then he headed for the door.
He needed to get down to the lower levels and get rid of the energy.
