Rogue pulled open her drawers, tossing various clothing onto her bed. She had absolutely no idea what she would need on her trip. Rogue wasn't even sure where the trip would lead her.
From under the bed Rogue pulled out a knapsack. She couldn't pack too much or else she would gather too much attention from the others...that and she wasn't entirely sure what types of transportation she would be forced to use. It all depended on Remy.
"Dumb Cajun couldn't even tell meh what he was plannin'," muttered Rogue to herself as she stuffed a couple pair of jeans in the knapsack with a few long sleeve shirts. She searched through the contents scattered across her bed until she found her delicates and tossed them into her bag.
Rogue glanced around the room, trying to figure out what else she would need. With a determined look she strode out of her room and down to the bathroom. When she returned to her room she had her toothbrush and hairbrush with her. She could always pick up toothpaste, shampoo, and conditioner later. Deoderant. Rogue grabbed that off the top of her dresser and tossed it in the knapsack as well.
Her eyes paused as they fell across the necklace Remy had bought her earlier that week. She took a deep breath before picking it up in the knapsack too. She would think about the reasons she was taking it later.
With another sigh Rogue walked over to her nightstand and pulled open the drawer. Inside was the Queen of Hearts she had gotten back in New Orleans. Rogue would definitely need all the luck she could get on her trip.

Rogue chewed on her bottom lip thoughtfully as she went to glance out the bedroom window. She had gotten used to living in the mansion...and now she was getting ready to leave it, possibly for good. It all depended on what happened when Rogue found Mystique.
The southern girl had been afraid to tell Remy that she would more than likely be kicked out of the mansion for killing the shape shifter. Draining Amara--if Rogue actually did that--would more than likely get her some time in the Danger Room learning how to control her powers...but killing another was an entirely different matter.
"But Ah cahn't go back now," she murmured to herself. "Ah hafta end things once ahn for all...Mystique has ta die."
Or Rogue would die trying.

Daylight was fading by the time Rogue shook herself out of her reverie. She hadn't been paying much attention to the passing time. She wondered if the others were actually throwing a party downstairs. Not that it mattered much to Rogue. She wasn't much of a partier to begin with.
Glancing once more out the window Rogue turned her attention to the mess on the bed. She sighed as she went to sit beside her knapsack. There was no point in putting anything away since she wouldn't be back for a while. If ever.
Rogue fiddled with the strap of her knapsack, wondering how long it would take to hunt down Mystique...

Ten more minutes passed before Rogue got onto her feet and slung her knapsack over her shoulder. The room was dark, the only came from the moon peeking through the clouds outside. Taking a deep breath Rogue headed towards the bedroom door and opened it up. She peeked into the hallway and breathed in relief upon finding it empty. Silently, she closed the door behind her and made her way to the staircase. It was time for her to leave.

((this open? if not i can delete my post))
Ray was quiet as he closed his door, intent on venturing out. He still had to make it to the staircase. He held his breath as he moved, careful of every creaky floorboard, wary of every turn. Logan had just made his second round, and he wouldn't be due for another four hours while he slept. That gave Ray enough time to dart down to the local "hangout" and then be back before sunup.
He paused as he heard a noise. Was someone else up? Ray could always feign ignorance if he was caught, or sleepwalking, but he figured only Sam could get away with that. He peered around the corner, spying the staircase. But then he heard another noise.
"Who's there?" He hissed, standing out in the open. No sense hiding. If it was a teacher, he would be found out anyway. He could always lie if he got caught anyway.

((yeah, it's open, I just forgot that part when I made the thread))
Rogue froze in her tracks at the sound of the floorboards creaking. She hadn't expected anyone else to be out and about. At the whisper, Rogue frowned. The voice sounded oddly familiar, but she couldn't quite place where from.
Hestitantly she made her way in the direction of the voice, halting upon seeing Ray. "What are ya doin' up?" she hissed. Rogue had hoped to get out of the mansion without being seen, but now it didn't look like that was going to happen.

Ray frowned that it was only a student. "Nothin'," he replied flatly, quietly as he straightened up the collar of his jacket; "Just goin' t' get some air..." he eyed her; "What're you doin' up?"
As he waited, Ray made his way down the stairs, sliding down the banister silently and catching himself before hitting the little statue at the end. He slid off, dusted himself off, and then looked up at Rogue.

Rogue rolled her eyes as Ray slid down the bannister before she silently headed down the steps. "Gettin' some air," she murmured shifting her knapsack from one arm to the other.
She had a feeling that Ray was lying, but so was she, so it she figured it didn't make much of a distance. All she had to do was go wait at the front gates for Remy and then she'd be long gone.

Ray nodded, not pressing it further. He headed for the door, noting it was locked and the alarm was set. At this Ray frowned, heading for the code-box. He opened it and studied the number keys. Judging by how much electricity was flowing through it, the code had been changed again. Ray popped his knuckles, and oddly loud sound, and then, reached out.
"Don't tell anybody," he said to Rogue, and then he fried the system with a few measured bolts.
There was a sizzling sound, and smoke came from the code-box. Ray stepped back, and then, slowly opened the door.
"Give or take, about ten minutes 'til the gates and everything else gets rebooted," he mused, glancing at Rogue. He then walked outside.

Rogue let out a small breath in relief as Ray fried the alarm pad. Now it would be easy to leave the mansion. Ten minutes would hopefully be more than enough time to find Remy and take off...unless she had to return for one last thing.
Rogue glanced back up the staircase one last time before slipping out the door behind Ray. "Ya ain't gonna tell anyone ya saw meh, are ya?" she murmured.

Ray glanced at her as he stood on the porch, pulling his collar up against the biting wind; "What d'ya mean?" he asked; "I wasn't even here," he began to walk off, then, he paused. He looked back at Rogue; "Hey," he said, looking down; "Whenever you do get your 'fresh air', be careful about what you breathe in, okay?"
He was speaking cryptically, he knew, but he wasn't sure if the Mansion was bugged or not. It probably was, he figured, but he couldn't be too sure.

Rogue nodded slowly. "Thanks. Ya be careful too, ya hear?" she called back softly. She was going to miss the mansion and everyone in it, even if she didn't talk to half of them anymore.

Kurt as always could not sleep he had never mentioned it to anyone but he could not remember ever getting a goodnights sleep. He continued to have dreams of Mystque. So as usual he was heading down towards the kitchen when he noticed that Rogue and Ray where up, yet something was not right because Rogue had a bag with her. It hit him like a ton of bricks. All his life he searched for family and now he had someone he could call family and she was leaving. "Not vithout me." Kurt said to himself. He then teloported closer to her but remained out of sight.

Ray nodded, heading for the gates in silence. He noticed Rogue heading for them too, but paid her no mind. She had her business, Ray had his. he went to the gates, and pulled them open with a grunt. The iron seemed to scream against the pavement in the silence of the night, and Ray found himself stopping every now and then to let the quiet settle in again. He was not fond of getting out of the mansion, but getting out would pay off eventually.
He paused when he thought he heard something, staying still as a statue. He looked around, scanning the grounds, but couldn't place where it'd come from.
"Y'hear that?" Ray asked quietly, through gritted teeth, hoping Rogue had and he wasn't just being paranoid.
