"Yeah, that's true." Tabby laughed, ignoring Kitty's glare.
"Well, I figure I'm screwed any way you look at it, so I might as well go out with a bang, right?"

"Ah guess..." murmured Rogue with a frown. She didn't know why she was trying to keep Tabitha from getting herself in more trouble considering that she was gearing up for the same thing...
"Well if ya really wanna take Logan's bike, be mah guest. Though...is it even there? Logan was supposed ta be out today...or was that tomorrow? Aw, what the heck? Take the bike ahn Kitty ahn Ah cahn stall Scott 'til ya get off grounds. Ah don't think he's actually gonna chase after ya...it'd take him a while ta find keys ta any car at this point. Ahn ya do hafta return eventually, unless..."
Rogue trailed off, glancing at Kitty. It probably wouldn't be a good idea to ask if Tabitha would crash over at the Brotherhood with Kitty around--especially since any mention of Lance seemed to upset the younger girl. Of course, if Tabitha did crash over at the Brotherhood Logan would probably find her since he more than likely had a tracker on his bike.

Tabby really didn't feel like thinking about the consequences right now. In fact, she hardly ever did anyway. All she wanted at the moment was to get out of the mansion and as far away from trouble as possible. She'd deal with everything later...when they tracked her down and forced her to come back, that was.
"No, I'm pretty sure he's in the Danger Room." Tabitha said about Wolverine, before turning and heading toward the doors that led to the garage. "And thanks for covering for me." She called over her shoulder as she left the room.
"Oh and tell Wolvie not to wait up for me, I doubt I'll be back tonight." Tabby said, then disappeared from view.

"Well, that went well. Who d'ya wanna stall, Kit? Logan or Scott?" Rogue didn't particularly care...she figured either one would be hard pressed to calm down anytime soon.
"Ahn when ya decide, let meh know." Rogue patted Kitty on the shoulder before disappearing up the stairs. She had things to do.

'' But hey ! ''
She said nervously , but the girls were already out.
'' Like if i had a choice ! '' She growled.'' Well , Logan will not resist the Half Pint...'' She tought , then phased trought the ground , to god-know where.

Noticing the girls Scott walked over. "Hey, uh, any of you girls know who might have taken my keys? They're not where I put them and I know someone must have taken them because they're always in one of two places and aren't in either right now. They probably took the car, too. " He watched them for a moment before continuing. "I know it wasn't Bobby or Sam..." he looked at Tabby, the one who hadn't been at the mansion for the 'Joyride' escapade. "You used to take Lance's car out...right? I think I heard him complaining about that one day, about you always taking it without permission."

Rogue froze in her tracks as Scott appeared asking about his car. Turning back around she could see that Tabitha and Kitty were also frozen in place.
Quickly, Rogue said, "Ya know, Scott, Ah heard the craziest rumor that your car got towed. Ah think you'll hafta go downtown ahn pick it up."

Tabby was frozen in the doorway, trying to think up some excuse when Rogue answered him. Sighing in relief, Tabby sent Rogue a thankful glance, before turning back to Scott.
"Yeah, but it wasn't my fault Lance didn't keep a closer eye on his stuff." She replied, shrugging.
"Well, I'd love to stick around and chat, but I've got places to go and people to see." Tabby said before practically running out the door and toward the garage.

"Towed!!" Scott yelled, voice echoing off the high ceiling. "What? How?" He frantically ran a hand through his hair, close to pulling it out. "It was in the garage, people don't tow cars when they're in a garage! They just don't! I..."He took a breath and his voice shifted from shocked to deadly serious. "Who took it? I know you know, Rogue, spill."

Rogue's eyes widened at the tone of Scott's voice. She mentally cursed Tabitha for getting out of the foyer alive, leaving her to deal with Scott.
"Well," started the southern girl slowly, "it's a funny story really...didja know that the Acolytes are very good at sneakin' ohn ta the grounds without gettin' detected? Yeah, well, Gambit stopped by ahn then he took off in your car after Ah threatened to toss him in the Danger Room until Logan got home."
With any luck Scott would buy her story, giving Tabitha enough time to get out of the mansion in one piece before the truth was revealed.

"And he decided he had the time to sneek into my room, grab my keys from my dresser drawer, open the garage and speed away? Unlikely. Besides, doesn't he own a motorcycle?" Something was up. Rogue seemed too reluctant to be protecting her boyfriend, if that's what she was finally calling him now. No, it seemed like a lie, but who was she protecting? He started to look towards Tabitha to see what she thought of the story. Gone. Snuck off. Suspicious, but not enough reason to put out a warrant for arrest.

Rogue rolled her eyes. "Look ya cahn either stand 'round here ahn argue with meh 'bout it or ya cahn head downtown ahn pick up your car from the junk yard--or wherever the heck it went. However ya wanna believe it got out of the mansion doesn't matter 'cause it won't change the fact that it eventually got towed away."

Scott tried to think of a come back but nothing came out, he was speechless. His car had been towed away and lord knew what the maniac who stole it might have done to it. The junk yard! "I...guess I will," he lamely replied.
The anxiety was getting to him. He had to take a deep breath to keep his cool. The junk yard was not a good place for his car to be, if that is indeed where it was.
