Paige stepped out of a taxi cab and her blue eyes widened with surprise at the huge mansion. "Uh are you sho this is the raight place?" She asked the cab driver timidly, nervousness showing the sudden slip of her accent.
Her question was returned with an annoyed look and a hand looking for money. The fifteen-year-old girl had convinced her mother that she was afraid of traveling in the X-Jet and had enough money to take a bus and a cab. Stowing away on a train and taking a bus were pretty much the same from her perspective, though the train was probably more comfortable than the bus. Had the teen been aware her new professor was psychic, actually taking the bus may have crossed her mind.
After paying the cab driver she gulped and headed for the front door. It was a nice sunny day and she was glad to find the gate open, as the intercom next to it indicated it was probably shut a lot of the time. "Well here goes..." She muttered and knocked on the front door to the mansion.

Ray slid dow nth banister, intent on heading for the kitchen, when suddenly the doorbell rang and he fell off the banister with a yelp. Composing himself quickly so no one would notice, he went to the door, but hesitated before opening. Should he open it? Why not. He did.
Standing on the front porch was a girl, about 15, maybe younger, and she had luggae with her. She had blonde hair and blue eyes, but that was about it. Ray swung the door open all the way.
"...Hi?" he asked, not really knowing what else to say.

The boy answering the door didn't seem like he expected to see anyone behind it by the surprised look on his face. "Hi." She returned his greeting with a slight wave. "I'm Paige, and I think you guys were expecting me..." She said uncomfortably and scuffed her foot on the ground a little.
"This is Xavier's school? Right?" Paige began to wonder if the cab driver had simply driven her off to the first big house he could find and taken her money.

Ray nodded mutely, stepping aside to let her in. He looked around the foyer, wondering why no one else had come. The door bell was louder than all get out. He noticed how she scuffed the ground, a shy act. He thought of Sam then, figuring he had probably done the same thing.
"I'm Ray," he said, finally looking at her. He sighed; "Well, only one reason why you're here. What can you do?"

"Nice to meet you Ray." She smiled and walked inside. A quick glance around the entry way told her the rest of the house was probably going to be pretty nice.
Paige frowned a little at his question. "Uh, it's a little weird." She didn't like to talk about her power, and especially not to boys. There was nothing cool or fun about her power, infact she could picture her brothers exact words when he found out... 'Ew.' That had been Joelle's remark as she watched her older sister pack.

Sam had heard the door bell from across the mansion and was determined to answer it. He sprinted down the hallway and cannonballed over the balcony. He had figured someone answered it by now but it wasn't everyday someone was ringing the doorbell of the mansion.
Sam landed on the floor with a bang making a fairly large hole and causing dust to rise out of the floor. "I'll-" He said but stopped once he noticed Ray and a girl at the near the door. Crap.. He thought To late..

Ray's head snapepd in Sam's direction, and he relaxed. He had been prepared for all out war jsut then, after hearingthe bang .But by now, he figured he should be used to it; "Hey, Sam!" he said with a smirk, watching as the other teen got up. Then, he looked back at Paige.
"So what can you do?"

Paige's eyebrows went up and an amused look crossed over her face as if she had just gotten away with something. "Hello Sam." She chirped and looked at the floor. "Do you have a job or does the school pay for it every time you do that?"
She waved her hand slightly at Ray as if the question was of no importance. "Oh, my skin just changes..." She muttered and avoided eye contact with him as she said it. It wasn't an answer, just the beginning of one, but with Sam right their she didn't really want to go into detail.
"Um, Ray, I'm not exactly sure where my room is. Would you be able to help me find it?" She asked him and finally turned away from Sam to look at ray again.

"Paige?" Sam said slightly confused. At the comment she had just made there was no doubt in his mind that this girl was in fact one of his sisters. "Hey Paige." He said and walked toward the kitchen.
"No I don't have a job... And I didn't mean to." He added and stuck his tongue out at her.

Ray had been watching how she avoided the subject of her powers. What did she have to be so ashamed of? Then again, Ray knew a lot of mutants who weren't exaclty "happy" with their abilities.
Then Ray saw their interactoin, and he concluded with one thing...
Siblings.
"Um..." Ray said, glancing up the stairs as he ran a hand through his hair, before looking back at Paige. "I can take you to the girl's wing, but after that, I dunno," he replied; "Come on, though, I'm sure we can figure it out. Here, lemme get that for ya..."
He picked up a duffle bag, slinging it across his shoulder. He didn't know I she did or didn't want his help, but he was in a good mood and figured it would be polite to do so. He gave her a small smile, then turned and began heading for the stairs, pausing to make sure she followed.

"I didn't mean to, I forgot..." Paige muttered with a small smile on her face. It was a quote from one of their favorite movies, but it seemed to fit the situation.
"Thank you Ray." She chirped and teb looked over at Sam. "To answer your nightmare, yes I'm here for good." The blonde gave her brother an evil, impish smile before following Ray.
Maybe a boarding school wouldn't be so bad. She got to attend an actual public highschool, stay at a mansion, irritate one of her siblings and meet a nice guy who carried her duffle bag. She laughed inwardly at the last part and figured the duffle bag part was a one time thing, teenage boys just didn't go around opening doors and carrying bags anymore. Plus the bag would be tossed in a closet once she was unpacked.
"This place is big." She stated the obvious and almost kicked herself for it. That was a dumb thing to say... Paige thought but shrugged it off with a bigger problem. I'm acting like Sam... Sam was always quiet, timid and clumsy and if threw a girl into the mix he tended to blush and stutter alot.

"Heck yeah it's big," Ray said; "Wait 'til you see the basement!"
That was his favorite part of the house.
He looked at Paige then; "So... are you and Sam related?" he thought he knew, but he wasn't sure. They took a left at the stares, but they still had a ways to go. Why not strike up conversation? It couldn't hurt. Ray needed to work on his people skills.

The basement? She thought and shrugged. If teenagers across the world could suddenly burst out with strange and unimaginable powers, then a basement could be interesting.
"He's my older brother." She said flatly, but smiled at the memory of Sam's expression when he saw her at the door.
"Do you have any siblings here?" She asked and ran her hand along a stair railing. Even the railings in this place were classy. Figures some bald guy in a wheelchair would inherit the worlds cash.

"Uh, no," Ray said, looking down for a second. he looked back up at her, changing the subject; "So... Kentucky, Huh? Sounds kinda interesting." Oh smooth, Berzerker, Ray thought.

"I suppose." She agreed. "I mean, a place can't be not interesting after your brother flies into the air during a game of tag and comes crashing down to create the states first human made crater."
"So..." She paused for a moment, but curiosity got the better of her. "What can you do?" She questioned in a hopeful voice. She had never actually answered his question, but she was dieing to figure out what other people around here could manage.
